Like other devices, baby monitors are also sold at different price range - from cheap models to expensive ones. Among the inexpensive baby monitors today is what we call as the Mobicam AV monitor. This device is worth around $50 that comes with a unit for the baby's room and the receiver for the parents. Aside from its ability to show videos they get from the baby's unit, this device is also able to connect to different media devices like cellular phones or computers. Hence, its system allows it to be mobile so wherever the parents may be, they can monitor their child. It also has a motion sensor together with the feature to receive emails or text messages.
Another favorite yet low priced baby monitor is the Summer Infant Day and Night system. Unlike other models of this device, this brand of baby monitor comes with a small monitor with a screen. Its screen measures about 5 inches and the image is shown in black and white. It also has an on and off button that allows parents to turn off the device when not in use. Lastly, it features a night vision so parents can still monitor their kids during the night or when the lights are low.
This is actually difficult especially during the past when they made use of a small monitoring device that only relays the sounds made by the child. But as technology improves and develops, experts have been able to produce baby video monitors. As the name implies, this device has a small camera plus an audio sensor, so wherever the parent may be, as long as he is within the range, they will be able to hear and see the movements of their kids. These baby video monitors have display screens that can either show the video in black and white or in full colors.
The infant video monitor was due to their baby monitor review that helped me purchase the Summer Infant Day & Night baby monitor!

FedEx guy tosses computer monitor over fence
During the holidays more than any other time, shoppers rely on delivery services to bring important packages to their doorsteps safe and sound. But a YouTube video gone viral shows that sometimes, packages aren't exactly handled with care.A security camera captured video of a FedEx employee delivering a computer monitor to a home with a front security gate. The delivery man tosses the box containing the electronic equipment over the gate and into the yard.
The person who posted the video said the monitor was broken when he opened it. And he also claims the monitor-toss was unnecessary -- he was home at the time of delivery and could have easily retrieved the package if the delivery person had rung the bell. The video of the delivery has been viewed more than 2.6 million times as of Wednesday morning.FedEx is now facing some bad publicity just days before Christmas.
"The situation has now been resolved to the customer's satisfaction and we are handling the employee according to our disciplinary policies," FedEx said in a statement Wednesday, according to CNBC. "While we continue to be surprised about the behavior shown, we know this is an aberration, and is not reflective of the outstanding FedEx customer service that makes us proud around the world."Should you invest in a video monitor instead of audio monitor?

Should you invest in a video monitor instead of audio monitor?
Three reasons that I can think of on top of my head why a video monitor is better.Infants wake up very easily on slightest of noise, with audio monitors sometimes its very hard to determine the reason behind some nosies coming from baby's room and you have to go to their room. You may accidently wake them up.Many times we just go want to check if the baby is wearing her blanket properly and is comfortable. With video monitor we can do this without disturbing her.Once you baby is grow up and you can leave her in her play room on her own you still want to keep a close eye on her to make sure everything is alright.
Most of the wireless home devices, cordless phones, wireless routers etc. work on 2.4 GHz frequency. This results in an interference especially in analog devices. You may hear you neighbours talking on your receiver and if you can listen them chances are they can listen you as well! Summer Infant Video Monitor uses a digital private channel which eliminates cross talk and interference from similar devices. The 2.5 inch color LCD screen on Summer Infant Video Monitor gives enough clarity to monitor baby's actions.
There is an on-screen menu which can be used to pan, scan and zoom camera which actually works very well. The camera is infrared capable so it also works when there is not enough light in the room. The picture on the monitor is black and white in this case which is normal since the infrared cameras cannot determine colors in dark. The monitor also has LEDs which light up depending on the level of baby's sound. This feature is very handy when we want to keep the volume muted.

While police did not identify the relationship between the men, court records suggest Dartanin and Rodney Mitchell are brothers.Authorities said both men are being investigated for possible involvement in at least four armed robberies at businesses between Nov. 20 and Nov. 30, including the Nov. 23 robbery of a 7-Eleven at 11599 West Colfax Ave., when a store a clerk was shot in the face point-blank with a BB gun.Two men walked into the store, and one of them brought a candy bar to the counter before both brandished weapons and jumped over the counter, Lakewood Police Department spokesman Scott Davis said.

Depressed Moms Can Affect Babies' Brains
Depressed Moms Can Affect Babies' Brains
The out-of-sync parenting of depressed mothers can actually change the physical structure of their child’s brain. Youngsters who don’t have a healthy attachment to their mother can develop a host of mental problems. They might throw frequent temper tantrums, become more withdrawn and nervous, act out in school or even sink into depression themselves.Researchers at the University of Montreal recently discovered structural abnormalities in the brains of 10-year-old children whose mothers suffered from depression throughout the youngsters’ lives. MRI scans revealed an enlarged amygdala, the almond-shaped clump of neurons in the brain that triggers our primitive survival reflex and regulates our emotions.
The amygdala is the source of all fear. It activates the “fight or flight” response that helped our distant ancestors fight bears and flee from woolly mammoths. When the brain perceives a threat, the amygdala releases stress hormones that ready the body for danger. Adrenalin races through the bloodstream. The heart pumps rapidly.Kids with an enlarged amygdala feel as though they’re in constant survival mode. They might act overly fearful, nervous and often angry. Because they struggle with controlling their emotions, they’re often labeled as “bad kids” or diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) or ODD (oppositional defiant disorder).
Their mom’s depression could be the culprit. Previous findings suggest that depressed moms are less sensitive to their kids’ needs and less engaged in their lives. This haphazard care can hinder the child’s ability to monitor his own emotions later in life.Although it’s not yet known if an enlarged amygdala can be reversed, therapy can help these children manage their feelings. One way is to assure them frequently that they are safe and secure, which signals the amygdala to—at last—relax.

I Think I Need The iBaby Wireless Monitor
On Friday morning, my wife gave birth to our second child, albeit seven weeks before she was supposed to.BabyPing turns your iOS device into a baby monitor. It seems to me that I should probably get one of these wireless baby monitors for when our little princess comes home. The $249 iBaby monitor looks to be an amazingly comprehensive baby monitor. It has a 350 degree swivelling camera with a 70 degree tilt and two way microphone so you can both speak to your baby and listen to it using the free iOS app, PC or Mac.
It can support up to four different people accessing the video feed from different locations, so parents and grandparents can keep tab of baby’s sleeping patterns, and offers automatic alerts for when your baby starts crying or moving. Infrared LEDs on the front of the camera help you to see your child in the middle of the night as well. The accessory works over 802.11n and offers 640×480 resolution at 30fps streaming (or lower, depending on your connection). Controlling the camera using your iOS device sounds incredibly simple too, with swipes left and right moving the camera side to side, or up and down to adjust the camera’s tilt.
Anyhow, you pack of voyeuristic nine-to-fivers, O'Grime's self-titled video -- set to some riotous thudding bass and cascading synths -- is the gateway to a serious bout with some "unforeseen circumstances" that look so real that you'll probably want to wipe down the computer screen by the end. Now, we're not going to give the ending away, but let's just say that L. Rey handles this bit of trouble like a champ. Need a steak for that eye?
